Boating on the Bateaux Mouche

One of the best activities to do in Paris is to take a boat ride down the Seine River and see all the sights. It was a beautiful, sunny day when Parkway students enjoyed this excursion.

We headed en masse to the site where the boats took off, near the Eiffel Tour, and we couldn't wait to appreciate the sights and sounds of Paris in our one-hour boat ride. It was a perfect day for this activity.

We couldn't wait for the excursion to start. It's really nice, after a long day of sight-seeing, to be able to sit down and see Paris from the vantage point of the Seine. It's so relaxing and effortless.

On the boat ride, we also heard prerecorded information about the city in French, English, Spanish, Russian, and Japanese. It was fun to hear "Notre Dame" in all those languages. Plus, we learned a lot about the origins of the city and how Paris became the beautiful, modern city it is today.

What fun to soak in all the culture and beauty of Paris. Can we stay here forever?

The end of the boat ride took us back to the Eiffel Tower. We admired the amazing structure and realized that we were going to be going to the top of this architectural masterpiece in just a little while.
